CEESEU-DIGIT<\/span><\/h1><\/div>

Central and Eastern Europe Sustainable Energy Union\u2019s Design and Implementation of regional Government Initiatives for a just energy Transition<\/span><\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Project activities:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Primary objective is to build capacity in 6 carbon intensive regions in 6 countries in the CEE for holistic regional Energy and Climate Action Plans (ECAPs) aligned with NCEP national targets supporting the Green Deal, and will involve marginalized and vulnerable groups, especially energy-poor households. Municipalities will be assisted to formulate, but as more important also implement their ECAPs, including finding funds for implementation – understand financing options and how to apply for these.<\/p>\n

In Estonia the focus is on Ida-Viru County that is dominated by oil shale mining, energy, and chemistry sector, but considering Green Deal targets and climate change challenges this sector and CO2<\/sub> emissions from that sector must shrink. Ida-Viru County just in the beginning of 2023 approved their energy and climate plan and CEESEU-DIGIT is there to help to implement it.<\/p>\n

In the project there are 6 different regions and more partners that can share experience and knowledge, introduce good practiced and learn form each other. In parallel consortium that have network all over Central Eastern Europe is working to raise awareness and promote Central and Eastern European Sustainable Energy Network (CEESEN).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
